1. Who We Are

2kAuction (2kauction.com) is a price tracking service for NBA 2K MyTEAM auction house cards. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can exercise your rights.

2. Data We Collect

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site. GA4 collects anonymised usage data including pages visited, session duration, approximate location (country/region), device type, and referrer. This data is processed by Google under their own privacy policy. You can opt out via Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Account Data

When you create an account we collect your email address and a hashed password. We use this solely to authenticate you and to communicate account-related information.

Payment Data

Payments for 2kAuction Pro are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe provides us with a payment confirmation and the last four digits of your card for reference. Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified.

Price Alert Emails

If you opt in to price alerts, we store the email address you provide and your alert preferences. We use this information only to send the alerts you requested. You can unsubscribe at any time from within your account settings or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any alert email.

Advertising

We display ads from Google AdSense and (optionally) Ezoic to keep the site free. These partners may set cookies or use similar identifiers to personalise the ads you see and measure performance. Ezoic uses a consent management platform (Gatekeeper Consent) that shows a banner to EU, UK, and California visitors so you can accept or reject ad personalisation before any advertising cookie is set. You can review and manage these choices at any time via the banner, and you can opt out of personalised advertising from Google at adssettings.google.com. 3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and improve the 2kAuction service
  • To authenticate your account and secure your session
  • To process your subscription payment and manage your plan
  • To send price alerts you have opted in to
  • To understand aggregate usage patterns via analytics

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We show ads through Google AdSense and optionally Ezoic to fund the site — see the Advertising section above for details and opt-out options.

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. payment records, which are retained for 7 years for tax purposes). Anonymised analytics data is retained per Google's standard retention settings.

5. Cookies

We use cookies for session authentication, Google Analytics, and ad delivery via Google AdSense and (optionally) Ezoic. Advertising partners may set their own cookies to personalise ads and measure performance. EU, UK, and California visitors see a consent banner (provided by Ezoic's Gatekeeper CMP when Ezoic is enabled) to accept or reject ad personalisation before any advertising cookie is set. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may prevent account login from working correctly.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Withdraw consent (e.g. unsubscribe from price alerts)
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

7. Children's Privacy

2kAuction is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be notified to registered users via email.
